The pandemic had taken the world by surprise and required the postponement of the biennale by a year. The library was shipped to Venice in early 2020 so it had been in storage waiting to be reassembled. Over the course of two months, the building was installed within the space of the Philippine Pavilion at the Arsenale during the spring of 2021. The building is positioned in the center of the space, surrounded by four walls exploring: the curatorial concept (1); traditions of mutual support (2); how these traditions can inform architectural practice (3) and the process of building the library in angat (4). The digital opening happened on the 21st of May, but events and programs were facilitated throughout the year.
